I am a local dental hygienist who is passionate about offering preventing dental care for everyone regardless of their race, sex, sexual orientation or ability to pay. We are located in a health professional shortage area lacking the appropriate number of dentists, however that does not mean that our people cannot obtain preventive dental care. My biggest concern is that Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) are getting millions of dollars yet are not offering basic best practices preventive dental care.
